Panther Creek, The Woodlands

Panther Creek, created in 1977, is the second oldest village in The Woodlands development.  The village has over 12,000 residents, 3600 homes and 22 subdivisions. (

Panther Creek is located in a highly desirable location, on the western side of Lake Woodlands and just east of Gosling Road.  Located within a 5-mile radius of the village are all the amenities of The Woodlands that make the area so attractive, including; Lake Woodlands, The Woodlands Mall, Market Street, Hughes Landing, The Waterway, Panther Creek Shopping Center, The Cynthia Woods Pavilion, and several of the area’s most popular parks and recreation centers.  In addition, Panther Creek is just minutes from the major freeway, I-45.

The public elementary schools zoned to Panther Creek are Sally K. Ride and Glen Loch ElementaryCollins Intermediate and Wilkerson Intermediate are zoned for fifth and sixth graders, respectively, while Knox Junior High and McCullough Junior High are for seventh and eighth graders.  High schoolers attend College Park High School.

Amenities in the area include; 13 Parks, two pools, one at Creekwood Park and another at Ridgewood Park, nine pavilions at various parks, and the Panther Creek Shopping Center with restaurants, gyms, medical facilities, and The Woodlands Children’s Museum.

The latest market trends for the area showcase a 1.17 months supply of inventory, in effect, the number of months it would take to sell all the available homes on the market if no new properties were listed.  This represents an environment favorable to sellers, increasing competition and higher prices.  The median sales prices for the area is $475,000. This figure represents the middle price point of all homes sold in the market. For sellers, this data showcases the potential value of their property, while buyers can use it as a reference point when considering their budget and affordability. (
